Gas Stoves

Thermostat control, instant heat, and it still works when the power is out.

Why choose a gas stove over wood or pellet?

Convenience, mainly. A gas stove lights from a switch, a wall thermostat or a remote, and there is no fuel to carry and no ash to clear. It needs electricity to run, but with battery backup it keeps going through a power cut, and natural gas or propane is often cheaper than electricity.

Gas Stoves questions

Do gas stoves work during a power cut?

With battery backup, yes. A gas stove does need electricity, but the battery backup keeps it lighting and producing heat through an outage. A wood stove will also keep going, provided it has no fan option fitted.

How do you control a gas stove?

With a wall thermostat set to your comfort level, or with an optional remote that lets you set the temperature or light the fire without getting up. Flame height and fire intensity adjust as well.

Is gas cheaper to run than electric heating?

Natural and propane gas are often cheaper than electricity, which generally means lower heating bills. What it works out at for your house depends on your supply and how much of the space you are heating.

Can a gas stove be sized to my room?

Yes — gas stoves can be tailored to your room size and the amount of heat you need. That sizing conversation is the useful part of a showroom visit, and it is easier with the room dimensions to hand.
